How to apply for NIOS TOC(Transfer of Credit) through NIOS Board?
NIOS is an autonomous board under MHRD to conduct Secondary (10th class), Sr.Secondary(12th class), Vocational & Teacher training course for in-service teachers. NIOS is an unique education board because of its open mode of education and flexibility.In the matter of recognition ,it is similar to other all India board i.e CISCE and CBSE.
The admission for Secondary , Sr.Secondary and Vocational courses are open throughout the year through different stream of admission .NIOS has some unique features different from other boards.One of such unique feature is TOC i.e transfer of credit.
What is NIOS TOC?
TOC is an unique feature under NIOS board, under this scheme NIOS offers the students to transfer the marks of previous board to NIOS board by surrendering their original marksheet of previous board. This facility is available to unsuccessful candidates of other board to transfer the marks of up to two subjects in which they have passed in previous five years and the subject is available in NIOS subject list .The same facility is also available to unsuccessful candidates of NIOS board who couldn’t pass in last five years.They can transfer up to four subjects in which they have passed.
These facility is available to most of the recognised board of India.This facility is available to both secondary and Sr.Secondary course.
How to apply for NIOS TOC?
Getting NIOS TOC facility is very very easy.While filling online admission form through any stream i.e. stream-I,II,III and IV. There is an option for NIOS TOC where candidate have give details of previous board i.e. Name of the board, year of examination, enrollment No,Marks of the TOC subject,theory and practical (wherever applicable).After filling of online form , candidate have to send original mark sheet to NIOS board.
Note:- The mark sheet should not be laminated
If anycase candidate has missed to apply for TOC ,NIOS gives a second opportunity to apply for TOC with filling up a requisite form available on NIOS website along with a Original marksheet and fee to NIOS board.
